Sam fails again, and Steve doesn't even try...

Another sad day for Sam Ogren, who tried another visit to Kaiser Santa Clara with even shorter and even less spectacular organizing results.

Sam was immediately met in the facility by a handful of stewards who began peppering him with questions and demands. Some of Sam's best lines as he was confronted by angry union workers:

"I'm not here to answer your questions or debate you!"
"You know, I'm missing the all-staff meeting to be here, and you're ruining it for me!"
"You're intimidating me!"

Extra bummer for Sam: Stewards and members phone banked him so hard over the last couple of days that he had to disconnect his cell phone. (Note: It's now up, with a special message to Kaiser members on the greeting!)

Meanwhile, despite being the official contact for UHW staff employment and payroll concerns, Steve Ury will be "out of the office and not checking messages until February 17, 2009". Now there's a guy who knows when to make himself scarce!
