"We'll get back to you on that"

A former International staffer, part of the group who tried to address corruption and democracy issues last year, wrote to clarify that they initially requested a meeting with Andy Stern in August or September (and were denied), then requested a meeting with Mary Kay Henry and again were unsuccessful.

In late November the former staffer says they were finally granted a meeting with some senior staff members, where one of the group raised that they "had been material witness to 3-4 incidents of corruption (which had been reported through the chain of command) over the years." and asked how issues should be addressed internally now that the new "Gold Standard" ethics policy was in place.

Apparently the silence was deafening, and continues to this day. Our correspondent resigned in protest, as did other members of the group.

What is Perez Stern?

SEIU staff and officers think they can hide in the dark. Already in their hostile takeover of UHW they've injured members, held boss-style captive audience meetings for staff, and refused to give us their names.

Andy Stern and his appointees love to think they're rich, famous, powerful, and accountable to no one. A member led union just doesn't fit in with their plans for stardom! They like to drive around in SUVs with tinted windows, acting like they (literally) own the place.

So if they want to be famous, let's help them! If you're an SEIU member or employee, tell Perez what the SEIU trustees and appointees are up to, and help them feel just like Paris Hilton.
