Winning friends and inconveniencing people.

Yet more great work from the SEIU trustees...

"Up here in the remote hinterlands of Butte County (Chico) we had a pretty good example of the SEIU way of winning friends and influencing people. This is not big union country up here and most of the unions have a pretty small presence. The CWA own a rather small ramshackle sort of building and rent little offices to several other unions, including UHW. The CLC uses it for meetings.

From what I hear the International staff sent to enforce the occupation in this area sent a locksmith with orders to change all locks at this address - they'd probably never even seen it in person, just knew that the former local staff (now working with NUHW) had been using it.

So of course the locksmith performed as ordered, changed all the locks on the building and when the folks from other unions showed up to work they found their keys didn't work and had no idea what had happened!

If there were any union people not pissed at the International before, they sure are now."

What is Perez Stern?

SEIU staff and officers think they can hide in the dark. Already in their hostile takeover of UHW they've injured members, held boss-style captive audience meetings for staff, and refused to give us their names.

Andy Stern and his appointees love to think they're rich, famous, powerful, and accountable to no one. A member led union just doesn't fit in with their plans for stardom! They like to drive around in SUVs with tinted windows, acting like they (literally) own the place.

So if they want to be famous, let's help them! If you're an SEIU member or employee, tell Perez what the SEIU trustees and appointees are up to, and help them feel just like Paris Hilton.
