You can't fire US! We fire YOU!

California’s most unwanted have been on a rampage this week, cozying up to H.R. and making themselves even less popular!

At St. Joseph’s Medical Center and St Joseph's Behavioral Health Center in Stockton, SEIU told CHW management to ban stewards from reserving the facility’s meeting rooms. Now when stewards want to meet with members, they’re supposed to call someone named May Santiago to ask permission. Stewards wasted no time in calling 312 952 6539 to ask her who the hell she was, and how a Chicago-based Healthcare United staffer got a gig trying to tell union stewards in California they can’t meet with members in their own facility.

At Kaiser Santa Clara, Ken Krause (or “Mr. Magoo” as many readers like to call him!) emailed Kaiser management to unilaterally remove UHW steward / Rep chair / CHW bargaining team member / beloved Keepin’ It Real correspondent Lisa Tomasian from all of her elected positions, along with UHW contract specialist Paul Ortiz. Apparently Ken didn’t get the memo that he’d already been fired by Lisa, Paul, and the 49,998 other Kaiser workers who filed last week to kick SEIU out of their facilities.

Perez guesses he shouldn't be surprised, given the threatening email he posted this morning. But still it was hard to believe SEIU would be stupid enough to actually try to do it. So here's what Dave and Eliseo mean by "fight alongside you": We’re going to “remove” any leaders who disagree with us, because we know that’s what the small handpicked group of leaders we’re not going to fire will want us to have done. And your contract will “evaporate” if you think about that too hard!
