Dave and Eliseo get "creative"!

What to do if no one in the real press is covering your pyrrhic victory in Fresno the way you'd like them to?

What to do if every article on the election says "SEIU borrows business' anti-union tactics" or "Is Fresno SEIU's Vietnam?" instead of the nice things you wish they'd say?

Well why not write your own "article", just like Dave and Eliseo (or their PR hacks in Washington DC) did for an email to their list this week? You can just pretend it's a real article, and it can say anything you like, even lies!

Now that the dust is settled, we thought you'd be interested in this article about the Fresno home care election victory, what it signifies, and what it means going forward.

Fresno Members Choose SEIU UHW
Old-Guard NUHW Officials Show Their Disrespect for Home Care Workers
By Eliseo Medina and Dave Regan

In a closely watched union election in Fresno County, home care workers have spoken: They want to stay united in the Service Employees International Union -- United Healthcare Workers-West (SEIU UHW). Their votes show they want a strong, united union so that together they can focus on what's really important -- fighting the proposed cuts to home care services at the state and local levels to protect consumers and workers.

The recently concluded mail ballot election was between SEIU UHW and NUHW, which was started by old-guard union officials who were removed from office in SEIU UHW for, among other things, improperly diverting $3 million in members' dues to a bogus non-profit organization. The old-guard officers include former president Sal Rosselli...

What is Perez Stern?

SEIU staff and officers think they can hide in the dark. Already in their hostile takeover of UHW they've injured members, held boss-style captive audience meetings for staff, and refused to give us their names.

Andy Stern and his appointees love to think they're rich, famous, powerful, and accountable to no one. A member led union just doesn't fit in with their plans for stardom! They like to drive around in SUVs with tinted windows, acting like they (literally) own the place.

So if they want to be famous, let's help them! If you're an SEIU member or employee, tell Perez what the SEIU trustees and appointees are up to, and help them feel just like Paris Hilton.

If you have a story or pictures for Perez, email him at perezstern@gmail.com We promise to respect your anonymity, but we encourage you to use your real name if you can.
