Try the North Pole next time!

So where's Andy this week while the whole labor movement publicly turns on him?

Conveniently, he's about as far away as he could get - on a junket to Australia with Anna Burger and some local leaders, trying to persuade the Australian union movement that SEIU is some kind of example to be followed.

Since 1995, the Service Employees International Union has served as an exemplar of a union prepared to do extraordinary things in order to win for workers in North America. Australian unions have studied their techniques and adapted many of them to our circumstances. From the SEIU we got Organising as a union change agenda, Lead Organisers, committee building, mapping, the use of research, dedicated growth organisers, and much more.

On 1 July, we will be visited by a delegation of SEIU Local Union Leaders, led by Andy Stern, SEIU President and Anna Burger, Chair of Change to Win and Secretary of the SEIU.

Please join us at this special seminar, where they will talk about their union's fight to ensure Obama was elected and their current fight to ensure that workers - and not employers - can decide that workers can have a union contract. The members of the delegation will welcome questions from the floor.

What is Perez Stern?

SEIU staff and officers think they can hide in the dark. Already in their hostile takeover of UHW they've injured members, held boss-style captive audience meetings for staff, and refused to give us their names.

Andy Stern and his appointees love to think they're rich, famous, powerful, and accountable to no one. A member led union just doesn't fit in with their plans for stardom! They like to drive around in SUVs with tinted windows, acting like they (literally) own the place.

So if they want to be famous, let's help them! If you're an SEIU member or employee, tell Perez what the SEIU trustees and appointees are up to, and help them feel just like Paris Hilton.
